After the orthopedic surgeon reviewed Gramercy's radiographs (he needed to be anesthetized before radiographs were taken so they were scheduled for day of surgery) he found that the knee was not as bad as first thought, but that it has likely been exacerbated by painful spinal issues. He felt the best course of action was to skip the surgery and for us to have a consultation with a neurologist. I spent a good amount of time calling veterinary specialty hospitals and tomorrow we have an appointment for Gramercy and I to meet with a neurologist. In the coming days, I'll will let you know what we find out.
