Gramercy will have his own little claim to fame!

Back in late January I was contacted by a very nice lady in Ohio.  Helen had been following Gramercy in foster care and was taken by his story and his adorable self.  She let me know that she was writing her third and final book about her own Teddy Roosevelt Terrier, Percy.  We both agreed that Gramercy and Percy sure do look a lot alike in the face!

Helen's question to me was: Would it be ok to include Gramercy's picture in the book and showcase him as an example of someone needing help.  And my response was "Of course!"  So, the book is currently at the printers and we are very excited that Gramercy will have his own little claim to fame!

I've been touched by all the folks who have reached and and offered all different types of support to Gramercy.  This sweet boy was a dog that was not cared for and that no one wanted.  He sat in a shelter for well over 6 months as people just passed by him.  Once he became a New Rattitude dog his world quickly changed.  This was thanks to so many people who quickly realized what a wonderful boy he was.  I know many of his fans will miss reading about his daily adventures and seeing his goofy cute self but, I also know that everyone is thrilled that Gramercy has been adopted.  And not just to anyone - to a couple who fell in love with him and can't imagine not having him in their lives.  That's the kind of family we wanted for Gramercy - the boy who has been through so much and despite it all continues to be full of love and silly antics.

Below are the links to the two other books that Helen has written - they are adorable just like Percy and Gramercy!

And Helen like many other folks, made a financial donation towards Gramercy's surgery and she included the below dedication.

"This donation is made on behalf of our Teddy Roosevelt Terrier, Percy, and goes to GRAMERCY and his leg surgery. We certainly wish Gramercy well! He is a dog with a lot of presence and deserves a chance to live a life without pain. "

All donations are featured on the New Rattitude Donor board (click on Helen's dedication to see all the names of the wonderful people who  have help so many rat terriers in need)
