We were pretty sure Catty would not be impressed with the lure. She will chase critters knowing it's a critter and if she thinks she can catch it. She has caught and killed small critters in the past so, despite her age of 10-11 years old she can move when she wants to!
We put D'light away and brought out Catty...
"This is just a bag!" |
"What are you expecting me to do here..." |
"If you have a treat I'll work for that!" |
Well, it's not even worth posting video as Catty clearly thougth that chasing a bag was a stupid idea.
So, we decided to bring D'light back out to see if that would made a difference for Catty.

"Ready to get it!" |
And off we go - this is not Catty moving at full speed but, she gets moving!
It was a fun time to watch them both running - something they rarely get to do off leash.
We brought out a toy and placed it in the 2nd bag so that when the run was over D'light could "catch" a bag. You don't want to frustrate your dog by not letting them "catch" the bag.
More runs and while D'light would have kept at the chase, his body needed a break.
Both dogs were exhausted and it was a good time for everyone!
