Leonetti having a fun time!

As I mentioned, we will be fostering Leonetti AKA Leo but, we were hoping to give Aurora a week to settle in before Leo arrived.  Lucky for us, Maddie's (was Syncline in foster care) parents have gone through the NR process of being an approved pet sitter.  This worked out great as it gave us a week to settle in Aurora and we were able to bring Leo up on transport.

So a big thank you to Maddie and her parents for volunteering and helping out Leo and Aurora.  Leo will come to our house at the end of this week but, I wanted to share his adorable self.

We met at Luther Burbank small dog park to intro Leo and Maddie.  As you can see they did great!

Once back home, Leo was given a much needed bath and then it was play time!  For those of you asking "What is Leo wearing?" - Leo is wearing a  Belly Band by Tina.  These are great for male dog that may lift their leg in the house.  Dogs lift their leg for a variety of reasons.  In my opinion new fosters often lift their legs out of stress.  And coming off transport and into a home with people they don't know is stressful!  My experience is that after a couple of days (and getting neutered) the behavior dissipates pretty quickly.  So better to be safe than sorry I always belly band a male dog coming into my home.

All that play makes for two tired ratties!  Leo on the left and Maddie on the right
