A change for Tina

Tina has been with us for 3 weeks and in many ways she's been doing extremely well.  But, there are times where she really struggles.  Tina's struggles revolve around the environmental noise at our house.  Noise that we have no control over.  We live on Lake Washington in Seattle and in the flight path of SeaTac Airport.  So lots of regular planes flying over our house and lots of float planes coming off the lake. Suri's brain isn't able to process the noises like normal dogs so, the combo of the planes and then the garbage/recycling trucks along with with other outside city noise is just too much for her brain.  So, to help Tina we are going to be moving her to another foster home.  One where there is a lot less environmental noise.   By moving Tina, we will get a clear picture of how her brain is working which will assist us in finding her a home where she can be the amazing little girl we all know she is.

When Tina isn't stressed by the environmental noises, you've seen via my blog posts, how well she does in a quiet/calm, predicable home.  She plays with toys, chews on bully sticks and other fun things.  She's ubber affectionate and has a wonderful personality.  In the right setting Tina is a very happy go lucky loving dog and is going to make a wonderful rattie companion to whomever is lucky enough to adopt her.

I had a friend ask me if we were sad about transferring Tina and I said "Yes!" but then added  "This isn't about us, this is about doing everything we can for Tina."  I just feel very lucky that we have such an amazing volunteer team that is doing everything we can to give Tina what she needs to succeed.  I know she is going to a wonderful foster home and she will get as good if not better care than she received with us.  We look forward to following Tina in her new foster home. Her new foster mom blogs as well you can check her out by clicking here
