Catty walks the city of Seattle - Part 1 visit to Lake Union Park

Since D'light and Seven had fun at Golden Gardens, we opted to take just Catty on a walk.  Catty loves to walk and the girl can go, go and go. Catty may have short legs and be 10-11 years old but, don't even think those things slow here down.

This is part 1 of Catty's 3 part walking blog series.  We walked for a little over 4 hours on a warm day and at the end when we were tired, Catty was still ready for more.  We walked 12+ miles. You go Catty!

We walked from our house through Capitol Hill and down to South Lake Union to Lake Union Park  home of  Museum of History & Industry (MOHAI)

We opted to sit in the shade and drink some water since we'd been walking for a good while. Here's Catty wondering why we were stopping!

"I'm ready to go!"

"Dad - I'm bored - lets do something!"

"You want me to freestyle a trick for you?"

"How about this for a cute trick - one paw on the bench & mom move your leg!"

"That was worth a tasty treat!"

Looking good Catty girl!

"Ok enough sitting - lets get moving!"

Walking around the pool at MOHAI - nothing special and lots of goose poop!

Then we headed over to the edge of Lake Union.  Catty wanted to check it out!

Lots for her to take in and she was fascinated with this family playing in the water

More to investigate

She was having a ton of fun!

From the foot bridge she watched  the people swimming and kayaking

Looking good in her Balance Harness

More watching!

This was a very busy bridge with people walking across it and then people jumping off of it into the water.

After we were done people watching,  Catty finally thought a rest in the cool grass would be a good idea.

After about 30 seconds Catty says "I'm done resting, lets go!"

Gotta do some grass scratching before we head off!

Stay tuned to see where we go next on part two of Catty's three part walking post!
