Do your financial donations make a difference?

They absolutely do!  When you donate to New Rattitude 100% of your donation goes towards the rescue & medical care of needy dogs in foster care.  Because of our donor's generosity we are able to provide care to so many dogs including Torii and Royal.

Torii, Royal and I have visited the vet a number of times in the last month.  The visits were medical exams followed by blood work and urine testing for both dogs.

Torii has had a rough life before coming into foster care - she's overweight which makes breathing and moving more difficult, her teeth were in bad shape, her nails were horribly long, her body in general seems to have lived a hard life.  Because of these issues and her age we opted to run blood work and urine testing to rule out any major organ dysfunction.  These are not cheap tests.  Again, without the donations we could not do this for Torii and her future adopter.  So, the good news is that Torii overall checks out well for her age and knowing what we know about her past.  Whoever adopts this great little gal now has a medical baseline for Torii moving forward.

"What's this place?"

"This place isn't so bad and the humans were very gentle with me"

And next we move to Royal!  As you may have noticed in my blog posts, Royal is still belly banded in the house. This isn't typical for a dog that has been with us for over a month and despite doing lots of environmental adjustments Royal is having ongoing issues with his bladder.  I have contacted New Rattitude's Behavior Modification Team to troubleshoot what's going on. The first step of the process is to rule out any medical issues.  Again thanks to the generosity of  New Rattitude's donors we were able to get Royal in for blood work and a urine test.

Royal was pretty worried with the noise at the vet but, he did a great job. As usual the vet staff was super and they all were very sensitive to Royal and his worry.

Working on basic skills when Royal is nervous helps him focus on something else other than his worry.

I thought the below picture was just a cool picture of sweet Royal!

Again, if you would like to be a proud New Rattitude donor, helping dogs like Royal & Torii - you can do that by donating here.

Many thanks to all who support the NR dogs, we couldn't do what we do without your help!
