Did you say Nose Work class?

Here is what I typically see as I'm getting the car ready for us to head out to Nose Work class.

I walk in our front door at the top of our stairs and I get the...

"We all want to go!"

Catty says"I need to make sure I get to the car!"

Viva says "D'light, we already had Nose Work class this week. Maybe we get to do Nose Work twice this week, which would be fabulous."

Group shot before we head out to Nose Work class!

Viva stayed home as she had already been to Seward Park, catching the sunrise with foster mom.  We are going Catty's Nose Work class and D'light came along to check out the environment before class.  Stay tuned to see the amazing time we had.  Oh and in the coming days you will get to see Viva's wonderful progress in Nose Work class.

Sunrise chasers...

Viva is very, excited that the is sun is rising earlier and earlier!  With more light in the morning that gives us time to go run around at Seward Park.  Throughout the winter we've been going to smaller, less exciting parks that are well lit for our morning adventures.

So, as the sunrise occurs earlier and earlier we are casing the sunrise to have maximum outdoor morning time!   The wonderful part of this is what I get to see so early in the morning...

One of our many early mornings at Seward Park and there's a lovely view of Mt. Rainier.

Lots of birds enjoying the morning

The sunrise on a different morning

"Lets see what's going on!"

On this morning we saw an otter swimming in Lake Washington

Viva loves to snuffle around where all ducks have been foraging

Time to get a move on

After a great morning adventure time to head back

Viva watching the birds and the two bald eagles that live at the park have been very active. We've heard and seen them on a number of mornings.

A beautiful view!

Well worth getting up and out early in the morning

And what does Viva do once we are home?
She quickly finds her bed to rest on while we get ready for work.

Relax girl grooming herself

And time to rest while we are gone at work

Spring is on its way! Part 2

Here's part one of this series if you missed it Spring is on its way! Part 1

We head over to the Winter Garden to see what's in bloom. We were at the Arboretum with Catty back in early January and here's that post Off to the arboretum we go!

We find beautiful small flowers!

I love these trees and it looks like they have been painted gold

The colors on the Chinese paperback maples was amazing.
The color was even more stunning in person.

Lots of blooms

Colors of hellebores that were new to us

There was a lot of amazing Chinese Witch Hazel

We find an azalea in bloom

"More Chinese Witch Hazel"

And so many of these small flowers

"Come on mom, we need to catch up to dad and D'light"

As D'light and Brett are hunting in the cedar trees, Catty and I enjoy the scenery

Watching D'light and Brett

We head over to the Graham Visitors Center

"I'm having a great time!"

We check out some the plants for sale

As we head out and we pass the fantastic gate

We start our way back home and find a final patch of tiny flowers

Of course on our way back we got caught in a downpour.  This adventure was a 13+ mile walk and Catty was still ready to keep going.  While Catty may be older (she's 11-12 yrs old) she has a lot of get up and go!  D'light was happy to be home and warm on his electric blanket.

Tired and happy dogs!
