New foster girl EFESTĒ and Miss Bailey

Say hello to EFESTĒ - pronounced F-S-T.  This cute little gal like all the other is named after a great Washington Winery!

EFESTĒ is one of 6 puppies that were brought into rescue and to read more about their story you can check out this blog post titled The Puppy Rescue Conundrum

EFESTĒ is the runt of the litter and she is a tiny little thing.  I doubt she weighs more than 3lbs.  EFESTĒ is showing a soft temperament (refers to a dog that is shy and skittish) and clearly needs socialization.  She startles easily and isn't a risk taker.  She is the opposite of Bailey in personality.

We are currently pet sitting Bailey until her foster spot opens up this coming weekend.  Bailey is cute (like all puppies) and she was born deaf. So for Bailey this is just her life, she knows no different. I have no doubt people will feel sorry for Bailey and want to adopt her because she's deaf. That's not a good reason to adopt her. She will need a home that has the time, patience and curiosity to learn about raising and living with a deaf dog.

With that said, Bailey is very confident, curious and a risk taker.  She wants to be in the mix of everything and is a very busy terrier puppy.

Both girls are very sweet but very busy.  And like all 6 puppies they need adopters who are dedicated to working with a puppy. I will tell you that I'm exhausted by all the puppy work and I'm glad we are just a foster home for a puppy!
