They're for Nose Work!
You might ask, "what is nose work?" Here's an overview per http://k9nosework.com/ The activity and sport of K9 Nose Work is designed to develop your dog's natural scenting abilites by using their desire to hunt and their love of toys, food and exercise. It's a great way for your dog to have fun, build confidence and burn lots of mental and physical energy.
Way back in November of 2011, I asked one of our New Rattitude Georgia (whi is a K9 Nose Work® Certified Instructor) voluteers if she would create a intro to nosework video for me. Sure enough she got right on it and it's pretty awesome. Here's a the great video for anyone wanting to give nosework a try at home.
