TTouch workshop - part I

What a day we had! Not only did Dandy and I get to attend a wonderful TTouch workshop "Walking in Balance With Your Dog"  (presented by Dandy's TTouch practitioner - Lori Stevens), we also got to spend the day with another awesome NR foster parent Blair Meek and her little girl Sappho! There was tons of amazing information, lots of hands on work and training which was wonderful.  Like Lori's last workshop, I left tired but fully energized to apply all the new information and skills!

Dandy giving his full attention to his favorite lady Lori, the TTouch queen.  When we were rounding the corner to the classroom, Dandy heard Lori and boy did his ears perk up & he quickly wanted to move to find her.

Dandy was super relaxed (doing some gentle back of the hand stroking around the ears)- we were at this location in July and he clearly remember that he had a positive experience here.

Dandy fully stretched out on a mat in the middle of the classroom which was pretty amazing.  This class had more participants than last time and 5 other dogs. In the back you can see Sappho sleeping and super relaxed after she received some TTouch work from Lori.  Sappho clearly enjoyed the bodywork!

Brave Dandy allowed Blair to do a "zig zag" touch and as you can see based on his body language he was really enjoying this.  I was actually surprised that Dandy went down into this vulnerable position with someone he doesn't really know.  Dandy had met Blair once last year and Blair was pretty amazed at how far this special boy has progressed.

Over the last month Dandy has decided that he LOVES belly rubs - he will lay like this for as long as you will rub his belly.  If you stop, he will look over at you as if to say "excuse me, why are you stopping?"

Such a sweet face

All relaxed and kicking back - he's even letting Blair touch his feet, something we've been working on!

Dandy was getting tired with all that was going on but, he still wanted some back work done so, he found blue whale, then found Blair who did a number of "python lift" touches on Dandy's legs

Sappho and Dandy were such good pups - they were quiet and extremely well behaved. I think both of them (like Blair & myself) had a super time and sure would like to go back for more TTouch!
