What do Catty & D'light think of Soos - part 1

"Another dog?!  The last one just left 2 days ago!"

"Hey Catty, did you see the new foster?"

"Yep, I saw him and I'm keeping my eyes on him"

Soos says:
"I'm no dummy, clearly these dogs need space!"
"That one that kinda looks like me, I think I like her.  Hopefuly she'll warm up to me."

Soos says "I like this guy too but, I'll just hang out down here"

"Here I am kicking back."

"Aww the sun and how nice that the new boy isn't bothering us"

"I like the sun too and I'm glad I can be in the same room with you two"
Resting my eyes

"Hey look - the girl seems to think I'm not so bad!"

Soos has great dog skills with our dogs. Kudos to him for giving Catty and D'light the space they need.  Not all dogs slide easily into our house but, Soos sure has done amazing.

Soos asks "What is this thing?"

It's cold outside!  Even with the heat on the dogs are needing a bit more warmth so, the sweaters are out and on!

Soos thinking this wacky thing might be fun to chew on.

But then he realizes...

"Oh this thing is warming me up!"

Body shot
Looking super cute!

"I've got the hang of this thing"

"I'll sit for a treat"

Catty says "I can sit here - can I have a treat?"

"What if I sit pretty"

Soos says "This sweater is awesome"

Then it was time for a nap next to the radiator and the sun

Soos' Sunday evening

Soos enjoyed watching some football with his foster dad while I slog away on the blog!

Soos loves to have his neck and ears stoked

Just hangin out - Soos a great little guy

Soos finds a nice spot

After a long transport then meeting Catty, D'light and us and finally a bath - Soos was ready to see if he could find a nice spot to rest his cute little self.

So many decisions - in our dinning room we have 5 beds to choose from

"This one seems nice"

Soos wasn't sure what to do next

But, he quickly figured it out!

Foster dad thought he seemed cold so, out came the blanket!

A warm Soos!

He has a striking face

Soos fell asleep siting up!

Time to get some real sleep!

Soos is here!

What a sweet boy he is and he needed a bath.  Since Soos and I don't know each other, we took the bath slow...
We started with just sitting in the sink - no water on.  It's obvious by Soos' body language that he was not comfortable with this.

After some long TTouch strokes down his back, he started relaxing - deciding to put his paws up on the towel.

I also brought out the treats, placing them on the towel.  I wanted him to have the choice to take them or not.  He opted to take a treat!

After about 5 minutes, Soos was more relaxed and he's decided that this lady isn't so bad!
I turned on the water on the other side of the sink and he got some treats - he did great with the water running.

Then it was time to get soaped up.  I wouldn't say he was thrilled with the bath - but, he did really well.

And of course, another treat for being such a great boy

How cute is Soos?!

Time to dry off

"Do you have treat for me?"

"Not only a treat but, part of my breakfast!"

Look who has been on standby hoping a treat will drop!

Here's Soos post bath - is he not beyond adorable?  I can tell you right now, the camera loves this little guy and so do his foster parents!

"Are you ready to fall in love with me?"

New fosters arriving late tonight

There are 6 new fosters dogs coming up from California of which we will overnight 4 of them.  Yesterday you, met Soos and Liberty...

Soos
Liberty and you can follow her on her foster parents blog

Give a warm welcome to Charlie - this very sweet gal is 7 years old and a very loving girl looking for a home where she can spend a good amount of time with her people. As we've mentioned, dogs of this age rarely make it out of the shelters because people think they are too old. Clearly those folks haven't lived with a terrier. We are thrilled to have rescued this loving girl!
Charlie will be fostered in Marysville, WA

Welcome to Washington, Chile! This 1-2 year old boy is a fun and playful guy who is a little bit shy with humans initially but quickly warms up. He's not shy with dogs though and loves playing chase and wrestling with the other dogs in his foster home. Follow Chile's adventures in foster care on his foster mom's blog
Chile will be fostered in Federal Way, WA

And we have two very cute puppies that will no doubt recive lots of applications!  These two will no doubt keep their foster parents busy and on thier toes.  Both puppies will need a family ready to put in the hours doing that early puppy socialization and positive training to get them a great start on life.

Figaro will be fostered in Bellevue, WA

Viktor will be fostered in Bellevue, WA

New foster boy arriving tomorrow night!

This little boy is roughly 9lbs and he's about a year old. Sticking with our winery theme, we're naming him Soos!  He like so many, was picked up as a stray and as usual shelter space was limited. We are happy to have rescued him and we look forward to getting to know this little fella.

I'm not a huge fan of Soos Creek Wine but I sure do love the name!

Some of you may be wondering what happened since I had an earlier post listing this cute girl as our next foster.  Well, sometimes things change. And we had another foster home open up so, we decided to do a little dog shuffle.  So, this little gal will be fostered in Gig Harbor, WA.  This was a great shuffle as we were able to save 2 very cute rattie's in need.

Say hi to Liberty!
