After a fun Saturday and Sunday in the Gorge area, D'light and I had a busy Monday as well. So we were up early, slowly making our way home. We left Hood River at 6am and headed east.
The sunrise was coming up and we stopped off in Dalles, Oregon to enjoy the sunrise colors!
Dalles Bridge
Lots of stuff to sniff on the rocks. People clearly fish in this spot as we found lots of fish guts among the rocks.
Big spike in the rock!
There were 4 structures like this. I have no idea what they were as there were not any markers.
Off we go and what a view of Mt Hood!
As we follow the Columbia River, we stopped at some of the view points. You can see Mt Hood in the back ground.
Beautiful start to our drive. There are a lot of hiking trails along the drive. Wish we had time to stop but, that will be for another trip.
Windmills and they are so close!
Nice view of Mt. Adams
More windmills dot the horizon
We have lengthy drive to our next destination but, what a lovely view along the way.
You can see some of the plants turing those pretty fall colors!
Stay tuned as we take in the beauty of White Pass Scenic Byway
