But, she's too excited in her play -- this is very typical for a 9 month old puppy and not exclusive to Ursa. This is the age where the puppy is pushing her/his limits with other dogs and lucky for Ursa, Catty doesn't tolerate bad manners. Dandy isn't sure what to do and can get overwhelmed so our job is monitor the play to keep Dandy's anxiety at a manageable level. Prior to this taping, Catty gave Ursa the puppy smack down and Ursa took that lesson well. Ursa is pushing it with Dandy so we stopped the play. You can see Catty monitoring to see if she needs to intervene. In the days that followed we monitored Ursa as she tried to engage Dandy and she being the incredible an smart girl she, figured out that she needs to tone her play down with Dandy. If she does this he will play with her and we allow the play to happen.
