Soos getting out and about

Soos has been getting out, exploring the neighborhood and this sweet boy is having a nice time.  These pictures and video were from earlier in the week when it was so cold out. 

 

I have a lot of harnesses but, none seem to fit Soos very well. So we settled on this soft Puppia harness. It only has one point of contact but, I figured I'd see how it worked for us.

I decided to take D'light and Soos thinking having a 2nd dog might give Soos some comfort on the walk.

Wrong on that idea - D'light HATES the cold and the rain.  So even with his sweater on we only made it about a block.  Then D'light agenda was to turn around and go home to a warm house.

This video is on the way back home - you can see D'light is motoring to get back and Soo is happy to follow along.

 As you can see Soos is a great walker - who knew! 

Based on his tail, you can see Soos is a bit unsure on the walks. And that makes perfect sense - lots of new smells, noises and things to see.  So for now, we've been walking the same route which is helping Soos get his bearings and build confidence on the walks. 

 

This harness fit Soos pretty well - it doesn't cut into his arm pits and he has full range of movement when he walks.  Because he's not a puller, the single point of contact works for now.
